When you're getting shot at, you either insurance scam or hope the person who cornered you can't hit the broadside of a barn.
It can be pretty frustrating, and occasionally a death sentence from time-to-time, when visiting the pier and realizing you can't even extract there. The train comes to Reserve and Lighthouse honking when it's almost available, the lights above the bunker in Customs is on when it's open, an SUV waiting at V-Ex, green smokes for Old Gas Station, ZB-014, and ZB-016, etc. Literally every other extract has some sort of indicator whether or not the extract is available. To my understanding, the Pier Boat extract CURRENTLY has zero indicators, aside from your PMC physically visiting the zone to start extraction, to show whether or not it's available. I can't say the same for the other one on the opposite side of the map, though. If I couldn't see the smoke from far away because of rending, zooming in on its general location would render the green smoke, so I'd at least know whether or not it actually was available for use. When the Rock Passage extract was still up, it at least had green smoke as an indicator so you can reliably extract there. I'm not exaggerating when I say this, but I've been getting the daily Exit the Location through "Pier Boat" every other day or sometimes twice in a row.
